Monroe Bank and Trust School Banking Program at TRE

Two Tuesdays a month our student banking officers open up the teller window of our Monroe Bank and Trust Bank here at TRE. This program allows students to open and deposit money to their own savings account through our local bank. Student bank officers were selected through an interview process at the beginning of the year and then were trained by our bank partners at Monroe Bank and Trust. We currently have over 100 students actively participating in the program. Mrs. Spackey (parent volunteer) sponsors and oversees our banking program. A great big "thank you" goes out to her for all the work she does with this very important activity.
